We are pleased announce a free strategic development day for members of Play Matters.

Event details:

Our merger with NCB is designed to ensure that Play Matters and all toy libraries succeed in the current climate. We want to hear more from you about what you want from Play Matters. This free consultation meeting will be your opportunity to say what support service you want from a membership organisation. We also want to support our toy libraries that have experienced cuts by offering a workshop called Survive and Thrive. The day event is limited to 30 places with a maximum of 2 places per toy library. It is offered on a first come, first served basis. A more detailed programme will be sent out to you at the end of August 2011, but we would ask you
to reserve your place as we expect the demand to be heavy.

The event will take place from 10.30am - 4.00pm and lunch will be provided.

11.00 am     Welcome and housekeeping

11.15 am     Play Matters business consultation:
                  The advisory group, its role and member input
                  Our views on toys, play resources and child development—taking those forward
                  Creating a membership organisation that meets your 21st century needs
                  A call for a toy library in every community that wants one?

12.30pm      Lunch (refreshments provided)

1.30 pm       An interactive workshop for established toy libraries to survive and thrive in the
                   Current climate, including:
                   Sustainability
                   Generating new income
                   Case studies of good practice
                   Funding opportunities

4.00 pm       Close

What does it cost?

This event is free to members of Play Matters. This event is limited to 30 places, with a maximum of 2 places per oganisation and places are booked on a first come first served basis.
